Manny and Mychele met as kids. Almost 20 years of life and experiences have past. Those events have shaped them and given them an appreciation for each other they wouldn’t have had otherwise.
I couldn’t have imagined watching a man more excited or in love. Manny told Mychele he was going to marry her on their first date. He posted pictures on facebook almost daily, counting down the days until they were married. The anticipation was amazing.
A couple hours before she walked down the isle. I watched and captured as she opened a gift bag from Manny. He showered his bride to be with a diamond bracelet, gift cards, and a letter that brought her to tears.
Mychele was a stunning bride. She is compassionate, loyal, loving, and gracious. Family is everything to her. Watching how someone treats other people speaks volumes. She must have thanked everyone 10 times each. When I asked what else she wanted me to capture, she said, “the people here I love them all”.
Mychele and Manny had a traditional Roman Catholic wedding exchanging vows people have said for centuries. The Catholic Church has a profound reverence for marriage, for the sacrament and holiness of in and through their life with God and commitment to each other. Preparation and planning took months. Hearing the Deacon’s voice echo through the church was moving. Once Mychele made it to the end of the isle, Manny shook her father’s hand, hugged her son and looked at her in awe. I cried.
These two are all about family and fun. It was evident throughout the ceremony. Mychele’s daughter and Manny’s cousin gave a reading. Her oldest son and father walked her down the isle. Her sister made the veil and ring bear pillow. and seriously does it get any more fun than those shoes?!
I know you two are honeymooning your little hearts out, once you return I hope these pictures remind of you this beautiful moment in your life. You two are blessed to have each other! I wish all five of you…ALL the happiness in the world, years of continued laughter and fun!
Much love, j.
